Carey needed to get a job. It was the holiday season and he had yet to purchase anything of the holiday nature. His job had laid him off two months ago, and he was tired of couch surfing at his friend’s place. He was certain they were getting tired of keeping him as well. Despite the fact that it was the holidays, he wasn’t having any luck finding a job, even a seasonal one. It seemed as though all of the other businesses had hired people a month earlier for the holidays.

He was staying at his friend William’s place this week. Will was self-employed, but his current job was seen as seasonal by his friends. He played Santa at a mall. He enjoyed working with the children and seeing the happiness on their faces when they got to meet Santa. However, Will wasn’t the completely wholesome guy that he seemed to be when dressed as Santa.

Finally, he gave in to Carey’s request for a job. He’d mentioned in passing that he could use an elf at the Christmas village, but Carey wasn’t exactly the elf that he needed. Since Carey wouldn’t shut up about it, he told he could have the job, but Carey would be very surprised when he showed up at work the first day.

Carey was going to have his work cut out for him. Not only would he be dressed up in an embarrassing costume, but Will was going to take advantage of him in ways he had never imagined. He was going to go above and beyond his job description. Carey wasn’t the only one that would be doing something new. Will would be sharing secrets about himself that nobody else was aware of, but why hadn’t he just said something before?
