Harper: Taking a Christmas vacation was the last thing on my mind when my editor suggested it. After the past year being consumed by the all too public trial of my abusive ex and becoming a best-selling author, all I wanted to do was to write. But the words just wouldn't come. The inspiration that used to fuel my contemporary novels was now desolate. I decided to take that vacation after all. Not even one day into staying at the cozy little cabin I could feel someone watching me. After almost drowning, a man came to my rescue. However, he wasn't a man at all, more like an eight-foot-tall living urban legend.
???: Solitude was all I knew since I was a youngling. Having your pack and mother abandon you due to the color of your fur would do that to a creature. My life now consisted of watching the humans at the cabin and following my rules. Don't go near roads. Don't let the humans see you. Never help the humans.
Until she came. The most beautiful, smart, and perfect human woman I had ever laid my eyes on. While my quiet obsession with her grew, I found myself breaking every rule to be near her.
