Timothy joins Paul and Silas at the beginning of the second missionary journey, A.D. 50-52. A young man from Lystra, Timothy is the “Macgiver” of the Bible—he can fix anything with duct tape and a can of WD-40! This very resourceful young man becomes Paul’s protégé, but on assignment to Ephesus, Timothy finds himself in deep water, well over his head. Paul writes 1 Timothy to offer Timothy guidance and encouragement. Logos Bible Study’s Dr. Bill Creasy explains the social and philosophical challenges facing Timothy as Paul advises him on the proper formation of future leadership in the burgeoning church of Ephesus.

One of the wonderful qualities of Dr. Bill Creasy's Logos Bible Studies series is his way of making each study relevant to a modern lifestyle. He not only illuminates the deeper messages of the Bible stories, but puts its characters in relatable terms for those seeking to demystify some of God's more mysterious messages. This audio focuses on the relationship between Timothy and the Apostle Paul. Creasy's gentle voice is encouraging, and he often uses humor and anecdote to guide listeners to a deeper understanding of Christian truths.
