'All the Christmases roll down toward the two-tongued sea, like a cold and headlong moon bundling down the sky that was our street; and they stop at the rim of the ice-edged fish-freezing waves, and I plunge my hands in the snow and bring out whatever I can find.'
Cherished by generations as a Christmas classic ever since it was first recorded and published, A Child’s Christmas in Wales is Thomas’ waxing, lyrical retelling of Christmas Day in a small Welsh town. Originally recorded by Thomas in 1952, this new recording is brought to life by renowned Welsh actor, Iwan Rheon.
Dylan Thomas was born in 1914 in Swansea, Wales. Considered to be one of the greatest Welsh poets of all time, Thomas is largely known for his imaginative use of language and vivid imagery in his poems and radio plays.
