Soon after Virginia, his young wife has died, Poe is urged by friends to marry again. Poe considers his life, from his early childhood with his actress mother to his marriage to his beloved cousin when she was fourteen.
Originally commissioned from Katherine Ashe as a one-man play for New York City Historic House Trust's Poe Cottage in the Bronx, "An Evening..." is a brief, lyrical biography with selections from Poe's poems and a short stories that illuminate his writing and his life.
