Great listening for the whole family!
Filmmaker Kevin Sullivan breathes life into the story of spirited Anne Shirley, who has enchanted listeners for 100 years. Anne, the imaginative dreamer, constantly gets into scrapes, but changes the lives of everyone around her.
Narrated by the Anne of Green Gables film (1985) writer and director Kevin Sullivan, Anne of Green Gables is a moving experience for families to listen to. Kevin Sullivan is the creative force behind Sullivan Entertainment’s critical and commercial success. He is a three-time Emmy and Peabody award-winning producer and director who has created Canada’s most-watched films and television series.
His stature as a producer of beautifully executed period movies and television series has made him well-known throughout the world. Lucy Maud Montgomery, the author of the Anne of Green Gables book series, was born in Prince Edward Island and grew up with grandparents, just like her beloved heroine, Anne Shirley. Originally published in 1908, the Anne of Green Gables series became a literary classic that has been translated into 36 languages around the world, and has entered its 115th year of publication.
