Jerry Juhl
In his studio overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Emmy-award winning head writer Jerry Juhl (1938-2005) sat down for a casual interview with Audio Journeys. Juhl reminisces about the Muppets' early years and his radio roots, and what it was like to work with the founder of the Muppets, Jim Henson (1936-1990).

Patricia L. Lawrence visits Emmy Award-winning writer Jerry Juhl to investigate the beginnings of beloved television programs Sesame Street and The Muppet Show. Juhl was one of the head writers of both shows, and he talks about the process behind the creation of each episode, which at one point involved over 1,000 puppeteers and as many builders. Fans of the Muppets will particularly enjoy Juhl's reminiscences of Jim Henson, whom he considers a pioneer, and whose calm and easygoing personality was the beloved center of a storm of creative people.
