"A date which will live in infamy." Those words spoken by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on December 7, 1941, spurred young Carl Bridger, the son of a Montana cattle rancher, to answer the call to duty in the Pacific theater of operations. Join Carl as he is transformed from a cowboy into a warrior-pilot of the B-25 Mitchell. Go into combat with the 501st Black Panthers squadron of the famous 345th Bombardment Group "Air Apaches" of such bases as Tacloban, San Marcelino, and Ie Shima. Their assignment; to slam the door on the advance of Japanese forces in the South China Sea and the Indochinese mainland.
Fly with Carl and the rest of the "Black Panthers" in this gripping odyssey that rips Carl from his family and beloved Annie and takes him through the hellish and often nightmarish air battles of the last few months of World War II in the Pacific. Buckle in with the crew of Avenging Angel on sorties inspired by the true World War II mission logs of the "Air Apaches".
