Twenty-five years ago, a Discipleship Revival began with one obscure man living in Northwest Arkansas who was convinced that God wanted him to help His children go deeper with Him. It started out with one group of men, on a journey to learn what it meant to abide in Christ. These men saw the dynamic promised in John 15:5 that if we abide in Christ, we will bear much fruit.

These men could not keep this process to themselves, and they eagerly shared it with other men. Soon it was clear that they were part of a supernatural, organic discipleship movement that began to reproduce with very little effort of their own. This process struck a spiritual chord with many hungry men, and in turn, found its way into the hearts of women and couples. And this simple process called The Journey has now been used in nearly every state in the U. S., 20 other countries, five other languages, and also within prisons, schools, churches of all denominations.

The fruit Jesus described that comes from Abiding with Him has clearly been seen in transformed lives, resurrected marriages, enriched families, marketplace evangelism, healthy churches, and blessed communities.

This Story of Influencers is a look into the history and the behind-the-scenes activity so that it can be clearly seen that this is a move of God. And it is the story of many faithful disciple-makers who God has used in extraordinary ways.
