Set in London nowadays, this novel is a modern take on the guardian angel trope, but without any religious or spiritual elements. No wings or superpowers in sight. Instead, we dive into a fantastical corporate world with its team meetings, task management system, and performance reviews. After all, even the undead need human resources.
