Unlike his brothers and sisters who ask for jewels and fine clothes as presents, young Beau requests only a single rose as a gift for his father to bring him back from his travels. But when a storm forces the merchant to take shelter in a mysterious magic castle, he finds his host, a talking beast, feels angry that his hospitality has been abused when a rose is plucked from his garden. The price he asks in exchange for the man's life is one of his sons to live with him in his castle.... Only his youngest and most handsome son Beau is willing to take his father place and leave home to dwell with the seeming monster.... In my youth and even today I love the fantasy and magic of fairy tales, and I grew up longing for a prince charming of my own one day. Of course being a little boy, back then, I tended to imagine myself in the role of a princess as that seemed the only option.
But happily times have changed, and I can be a prince and have a prince…so I have adapted some classic fairy stories for other like-minded boys (and girls) to enjoy.
