To the countless forgotten souls who suffered within the walls of Blackwood Asylum, their voices silenced, their stories untold for far too long. Their pain, their resilience, their quiet dignity in the face of unimaginable cruelty—these are the echoes that reverberate through this audiobook. It is to them, the nameless and the faceless, that this work is humbly offered as a testament to their enduring spirits and a plea for their belated remembrance.
This dedication also extends to those brave individuals who fought against the darkness that consumed Blackwood, those who risked their reputations and careers to expose the truth, often at great personal cost. Their courage, their unwavering commitment to justice, and their empathy in the face of overwhelming horror serve as a beacon of hope amidst the shadows. Their acts of defiance and quiet compassion offer a vital counterpoint to the institutional cruelty and neglect that defined Blackwood’s history. We owe them an immeasurable debt of gratitude for their tireless efforts to shine a light on the unspeakable atrocities committed within those walls.
