Spiraling out of control from an adolescent life of fun—experimenting with drugs, alcohol, gambling, and pornography, created habits that led me to a path of destruction. Even after almost losing my life to the things that brought me pleasure, I couldn’t resist the temptation. I rationalized the darkness, convincing myself I had everything under control.

Searching for the next thrill, the next high and falling deeper in sin, my life began to unravel. I started running from the truth which brought emptiness and brokenness not only in my life but my marriage and my family. It was at the time of what had become utter brokenness in my life that God intervened, leading me to His house. For the first time, I heard God speak clearly to me, and I surrendered to His will.

This was the beginning of a full transformation. My journey to redemption wasn’t just about overcoming temptation—it was about learning to trust God, who had been waiting all along to welcome me with open arms. My journey to redemption became a story of forgiveness, patience, suffering, faith, hope, restoration, and a new identity in Christ. The death of the old me went away, and I was made new. My past mistakes no longer defined me.

Through this transformative process, God began to call me to ministry. What once was a life defined by sin and brokenness became a testimony of God’s redeeming love and purpose.
