It's rare to come across a book about the Celtics that doesn't primarily focus on legends Red Auerbach, Bill Russell, and Larry Bird, but Mike Carey and Michael D. McClellan's book does just that. Their comprehensive work pays respect to less-heralded stars like Robert Parish and Nate Archibald, who may not have dominated the headlines but were nevertheless instrumental in the franchise's multiple championship runs.
Bob Brewster brings these anecdotes and firsthand accounts vividly to life with his spirited performance, and evokes a sense of nostalgia for a bygone era of Celtic basketball.
