He served as the Executive Director of the third-largest state law enforcement agency in Texas (the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, or TABC) for 5 years, creating transformation around policy, fighting human trafficking, and helping small business leaders across the state.

An attorney by training, Nettles served as General Counsel for the Army Element Joint Force Headquarters. He continues to advocate for those in service, particularly in front of the Veterans Administration. A dedicated public servant, Nettles co-founded Brazos Valley Cares, a non-profit group dedicated to serving military veterans and their families. He has served as Chairman of the local energy cooperative, the Bryan Texas Utility Board.

From his service to country, state and community, as well as his work as a lawyer and entrepreneur, Nettles has dedicated his life to creating excellence.
