Sweeney just inherited a mortuary—along with a few restless ghosts.

When she unexpectedly inherits Blackwell Rest from her long-lost grandfather, Jazz trades in her greasy apron at Happy Days Burgers for a shot at turning the funeral home into the hottest nightclub in town.

But there’s a catch—or several. Her grandfather’s so-called accidental death might not have been an accident. His pet monkey needs a new home. And worst of all, the resident spirits aren’t about to leave quietly. They expect Jazz to step up as their new reaper / psychic detective and solve the grisly murders that left them lingering between worlds.

As if things couldn't get worse, a fresh corpse turns up in the cemetery, belonging to a member of the notorious Death Dogs biker club. Even more troubling? Jazz may have sort of witnessed the murder. Now, she’s caught between a deadly gang war and an investigation that raises more questions than answers. To top it off, Brock Logan—the dangerously handsome leader of the Death Dogs—has taken an interest in her, and he's exactly the kind of trouble she doesn’t need.

With ghosts demanding justice, a biker war, and a killer still on the loose, Jazz is starting to think flipping burgers wasn’t such a bad gig after all.
