Nikki St. Crowe
Oz smiles like a fairy tale and bites like a curse. And Dorothy is trapped in its teeth.
This program features multicast narration.
Dorothy Gale has been betrayed by the Wizard of Oz; he used her, broke her, and left her stranded in a strange land.
Now she’s forced to team up with the last person she should trust: the Tin Woodman. A heartless mercenary with an axe to grind and nothing left to lose. Because the Wizard didn’t just steal his heart, he took Tin’s little brother, Gabriel, too.
Everything about Tin is dangerous. And the closer Dorothy gets, the harder it is to tell what scares her more—his blade, or the fire he ignites within her.
But defeating the Wizard won’t be easy. His magic hums beneath every brick and coils through every whisper, until you’re walking in circles on the Yellow Brick Road. He has all of Oz under his spell and more power than anyone. Or does he?
Because Dorothy is more than she seems, and the longer she’s in Oz, the more she remembers. Things about her past, about what she is, and about the magic awakening inside her.

Reseñas de la crítica
"St. Crowe’s follow-up to West of Wicked continues her steamy retelling of this classic with epic worldbuilding and exciting twists." -- Library Journal
Praise for West of Wicked
"West of Wicked is a sexy, lush adventure that sends the intrepid heroine Dorothy on a dark and twisted journey. With a cast of dangerous and captivating characters, rich worldbuilding, and a fierce heroine that you can't help but root for, this dark retelling is sure to delight fans both new to and familiar with the world of Oz!" --Elizabeth Helen, Sunday Times bestselling author of the Beasts of the Briar series.
"Fantastically clever and wickedly irreverent... Blending fantasy, romance, political intrigue, and mystery, West of Wicked does an incredible job of modernizing a now-tired plot. This Oz is far more sinister (and a whole lot sexier) than readers have encountered before, and it's likely they'll finish the book on its devastating cliffhanger, clamoring for more." -- Booklist, starred review
"St. Crowe’s new series is perfect for romantasy and Wicked fans, with this grown-up reimagining that includes sex scenes and a much grimmer tone than the original classic." --Library Journal
"Packed with dangerous magic, irresistible antiheroes, and plenty of high-stakes spice, this is a must-read for anyone who likes their fairy tales twisted and seductive. If your favorite reading vibe is a morally black book boyfriend and a plot that leaves you breathless, consider this your summer escape" -- Brit + Co
