"As soon as the evil monster was in full view, she felt a sharp pain in her stomach. It felt like her unborn baby leapt for joy. It reminded her of the the six-month-in-the-womb John the Baptist leaping in the presence of the recently conceived baby Jesus."
Azriel Creed is having a baby—and he’s horrified. He senses something fiendish and diabolical about his unborn child. Even the sonogram suggests a devilish grin on its lips—as if it’s scheming to commit murder and genocide fresh out of the womb. Is it connected to Azriel’s dark destiny as Lucifer’s favorite? Or just a result of his unholy Predator heritage?
Meanwhile, a creature of pure evil created by Nimrod when the Tower of Babel was built awakens in a cold basement. An evil that eats monsters, Predators, and people alike—and is so powerful not even the angels of heaven can kill it. It also has only one agenda: to track down and destroy Azriel and everything he loves. Only King David, Saint Martha, and Fezziwig the vampire have been able to stop it throughout the centuries. And Azriel must discover the mystery of how they did it before it slaughters him and everything he loves.
