The galaxy is filled with marvelous creations: both the creatures who inhabit it, and the civilizations they construct. Listeners will encounter human societies at the far reaches of the Milky Way, alien genetic engineers at the dawn of humanity, cloud-dwellers floating on rings in the skies of distant planets, industrious alien traders, and a host of adventurous humans striving to traverse these amazing storyscapes in the second volume of sci-fi stories from author P.E. Rowe.
This second volume in our tour of the fictional galaxy captures the dilemmas of ageless black hole dwellers as they prolong the heat death of the universe, the absurdity of the dumbest alien invasion ever, the humans who inhabit the galaxy after the AIs take over, and even a universe within our universe at the center of a 300-million-year-old alien artifact. The tapestry deepens as it grows.
For all the ways this expansive collection reaches out, the beating heart at the center of every story is a human one—characters struggling to find their place in their time with the people around them who matter most.
