Theresa Salomé is cursed and blessed. Every Friday the 13th, she must kill and cannibalize her victim, extending her life. She’s collected knowledge, amassed wealth, and watched empires come and go. But as centuries pass, the cycle and isolation threaten to tear her mind apart.
Michael Durmaz can’t tell if he’s cursed, possessed, or hallucinating. The urge to kill on Friday the 13th is overwhelming. Horrific nightmares detail hellish deeds but promise heavenly rewards. Leaning on faith has given him the strength to deny his hunger, but when he receives a terminal diagnosis, he worries the decision may cut his life short.
Everything changes when they meet. Michael’s determined to rise above his cravings, but Theresa believes everyone deserves a seat at the table. Both are searching for who they are: monsters, a preview of humanity’s future, or a new variety of pawns for gods and devils.
