"Find Her" is a light romantic comedy novel about two recent college grads as they try to graduate from playing video games on weekends with each other to finding and dating their first girlfriends. The two main characters, Will and Wade, aged 22, had asked girls out a few times, and tried online dating, but none had resulted in actual dates, much less girlfriends. They moved into an apartment owned by John, a 50-something man who helped them move in, then, a few weeks later invited them to his top level apartment with a deck overlooking the city for a few beers.

After hearing that Will and Wade were spending Chicago weekends in front of computer screens, John tells them "the twenties are when you make your career and find your soul mate, you seem to be doing well on the career goal, but what about the other?" He told them of a study where it was found that the average guy needs to date 10 women before they find HER. "It can take years to find HER, and you two have not even gotten started! Why not shorten that path?" John challenges Will and Wade to take his dating advice and to use the video gaming skills they have learned to meet and date 2 women each week, in order to find a girlfriend in just 5 weeks instead of the years it can take most others. John had been a gamer back in the 80's, and knew someone who had figured out a way to apply some of the skills he learned from playing video games to dating, and ended up dating 17 women at the same time, before settling on just one of them to marry!
