Based on Writer and Director Brandy M. Berry’s 2016 creature horror film, Freshwater: The Adapted Movie Novelization is a terrifying retelling by Novelist Julian Michael Carver, author of Megacroc.
When a young woman's body shows up in the small town of Helena, Louisiana, a local reptile consultant, Brenda Gray, is brought in to examine the case. Elsewhere, ten former college friends plan a long overdue reunion at their friend's luxurious island lake house, expecting the party of a lifetime. Their night is interrupted when a mysterious creature appears and begins hunting them down, one by one. As they are cut off from help, Brenda struggles to piece together the deadly truth, racing to save the trapped islanders from the savage monster lurking among them.
