The finale is a climax as intense as Tolkien's fall of Mordor, with demonic dogs, fiendish one-time children, and Soul-Eaters summoned from beyond the grave.
The final part of the brilliant Chronicles of Ancient Darkness... The saga of dark versus light is told with Paver's rigourous pace and brilliant attention to the detail of the Torak's world
...the themes of friendship and sacrifice are strong, and the descriptions of hunting, tracking and living in the world of six thousand years ago are as vivid and as interesting as ever... I'm going to miss the Forest and the clans now that the series is over. The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness are aimed at younger teens but I still love them aged nearly-sixteen, and I don't think I'll outgrow them any times soon.
GHOST HUNTER is the final installment in Michelle Paver's wonderfulChronicles of Ancient Darkness series. These books should definitely be in every school library as they offer fantastic insights and terrific storytelling of a time long gone.
