The time has come for me to continue my tale of adventures that fate laid out before me a long, long, time ago. My name is Presto. I am still a ghost. I came to London as a penniless orphan boy from Athy, Ireland. I have survived fighting against the Spanish Armada of 1588. Now her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, wishes me to join her personal Secret Service.
Her name for me is Alley Cat. I will meet her sorcerer, Doctor John Dee, and take a journey up the rabbit hole with him. She will send me to Scotland to spy on King James’ Court, along with many other adventures. The years will begin to pass while wars in France, Spain, and Ireland will finish or start anew. And yet, through these many adventures, all my heart simply yearns for is to once again see “The Girl” I met at Whitehall Palace, and who now haunts my ghost-my soul.
As the tale unfolds, you will hopefully see what I saw, feel what I felt, and learn what I learned. It is not always an easy story, but there is a bit of Irish humor along the way for mirth and courage, along with my steadfast trust in fate.
