I’ve dealt with difficult ghosts before, but this guy! Trashed my room, and he wasn’t even the one I summoned. That was a woman ghost haunting my friend Molly. We were just trying to help this poor lady spirit move on.
Instead, I end up driving Molly out to Cedar Key on Florida’s Nature Coast, near where the lady and her angry companion lived until a hurricane destroyed the place in 1896. Also in the car: not just one, but both, of my former boyfriends. Awkward.
We find some clues along the way, but in the end there’s no escaping it: We have to rent kayaks and paddle out to Prosper Key.
