Jimmy Cooper, former child star, recovering addict, and private eye, has gone from hero back down to zero.
After a case ended badly and publicly, no one wants anything to do with Jimmy, most of all himself. Then someone from his past comes knocking on his door asking for help.
Anton Greene is a young man in trouble. Needing some easy cash, he agreed to be a driver in a robbery that goes wrong, leaving a friend dead and a priceless statue in the wind. He turns to Jimmy hoping there’s something he can do to get him out of trouble and get justice for his murdered mentor.
Reluctantly, Jimmy agrees, and the two go on a search for the statue and the people responsible, trying to stay one step ahead of everyone else. That everyone else includes Jimmy’s girlfriend, Violet Ito, a homicide detective for the LAPD; the DA who has taken a very personal interest; a media mogul in Montecito, CA; and a music legend over in Beverly Hills.
Can Jimmy keep Anton out of trouble? And at what cost? It’s another thriller from the award winning Jimmy Cooper Mystery series!
