Acerca de este título

Fact: Russia needs IC chips to build weapons for modern warfare
Fact: Russia has no domestic supply of chips and is dependent on ICs smuggled from the West
Fact: For a country that sees itself as a superpower, this must be unacceptable

The Golddigger’s Daughter is a fictional story set against this factual background.

She felt that the cause was just. Why should America control everyone’s access to microchips? In the modern world, it was like one country controlling everyone’s access to food. Not fair! So she agreed to help a group tasked with the development of a Russian domestic semiconductor industry. After all, her mama was Russian, she spent half her life there, and she knew the place and the people. Besides, the money was good. Seemed like the right thing to do.

But then she discovers that she is working for Russian Deep State: big men playing big games with big money. She fears that the things that she knows may be a problem for some of them—and that these are the kind of people who have few scruples about addressing pesky liabilities. So she realizes that she must get out. But how? This is not a kind of a job where you can just give two weeks’ notice and walk away....
