Horse racing’s newest dream team.
Liv’s smart, shy, and a total control freak, but she’s ready to throw away a future in veterinary medicine to become a jockey.
Nate’s good on a horse, and good with people. Except Liv. He can’t quite crack Liv. Chique, though? He’s got that filly wrapped around his little finger.
Chique’s equal parts talent and exasperation, and carrying the hopes and dreams of her human teammates—all the way…hopefully…please, filly…to Canada’s most prestigious race: the Queen’s Plate.

"Linda Shantz's debut sweeps readers into the turbulent, high-stakes world of horse racing. Shantz has a keen eye for the equestrian details, but it's her characters and horses who will pull at heartstrings. This is truly the horse racing romance I've always wanted." (Mara Dabrishus, author of Stay the Distance and Finding Daylight)
