Nina Carter never imagined her husband would bring her on vacation to Orange Beach, Alabama, to end their marriage. He tells her it’s over and walks out the door of the rented condo, leaving her all alone hundreds of miles from home.

Just down the beach, Michelle Kingsley’s fiancé breaks off their engagement only two weeks before the wedding. Determined to start her new job as planned, she stays in town, but when the company unexpectedly shuts down, she is left jobless and homeless.

Pummeled by the emotional tsunami that has wiped their slates clean, Nina and Michelle must rebuild their lives from scratch in paradise. The two women meet when they find work at the same souvenir shop. They become roommates and encounter the mystery of strange noises in the shed, as well as yardwork done by an unseen gardener.

Nina soon captures the eye and heart of a coworker, Barry Sable. He struggles between the intensity of his feelings for her and the knowledge that she needs time to recuperate, but their connection is undeniable. Before long, Nina finds her heart not only healing, but falling toward the one who seeks to catch it.
