Acerca de este título
She's younger and my daughter's nanny, but I want her anyway.
When professional soccer player HUNTER HALE returns home after years of living in Europe, he needs only one thing: a nanny for his daughter, Story. The problem? No matter how highly skilled the candidates are, he doesn't like any of them. The situation seems impossible until Story's uncle, Hayden, finds the solution—his best friend, PIPER EVANS.
With her little sister's health declining, Piper was forced to drop out of college and help pay for her sister's medical expenses from her college fund. Her plan? Find a job and save up money so she can continue her studies after taking a year off. Just as she's about to start work at a local café, Hayden steps in with an offer she can't refuse.
Working as a live-in nanny for Hayden's niece sounds like a dream come true—until Piper sees her new boss. It's been years, and Hunter Hale is not like she remembers him. He's handsome, well-built, and most definitely, off-limits . . . right?
©2024 Anastasija White (P)2025 Tantor MediaI'm not sure how to put this, but I didn't enjoy Teddy in this book. I thought Teddy could do no wrong. He is an amazing voice actor. I have loved all of the work that I have listened to by him up until now, but this. I don't know. It just didn't hit. He was so intense with the performance. Why did he have to make Hale be so stoic, so possessive, so animalistic (and not in a good way)? There were no lighthearted parts, no swoony, panty-melting parts. It just felt wrong. Like it wasn't Teddy performing.
And Stephanie Rose. This was the first book I had ever heard Stephanie narrate, despite having a few books that she has worked on being in my audio library. Since listening to Hale, I have actually heard a few more stories that she was a part of. My overall critique is that she was fine in all of them. She works well. However, her work is also middle of the class. It works well with the story but nothing stands out as exceptionally moving or a powerful performance. Once the story is over, I forget about the quality of her work because it's not a memorable performance. I could even rate some of the other books higher than this one but my comment about her work would be the same for all. She was fine, got the job done well..I have no complaints but also no overwhelming sense of connection to the character because of her performance.
I had higher hopes
