Michael Zemetsky’s very human systems have been infiltrated by travelers from deep space. These otherworldly creatures intend to own planet Earth, and the boy known as Subject 38 is a tool for their nefarious aims: Michael will help them to determine what makes these Earthlings tick. He’s a whiz kid—smart, lucky when trouble arrives, and unaware of the alien intelligence that pulses through every cell in his body. The cunning aliens will dare to trespass on the Cold War space race, fiddling and tinkering with NASA and the Russians, and always undetected.
Hometown Alien follows Michael’s alien-infused adventures, from elementary school to college. This fast and funny story unfolds in Western Pennsylvania’s Allegheny Mountains. John Washinsky’s working class Ukrainian roots are alive on every page, and so are the aliens!
