What if we could really be sure that our prayers are answered? What if we really could make a difference when world events stir us? What if we could be sure that the intentions we yearn for always serve the highest good? Could it be that these aren’t just fanciful ideas, but come quite naturally when we live the spiritual life, whatever our tradition or lack of one?
Immersive Prayer explores this possibility and offers practical guidance on how to achieve what the sages and scriptures of the world’s major faith traditions promise is more than a dream. Many tantalising discoveries and theories from modern science that point to our supernatural power and influential role in the cosmos are explored, along with the growing body of evidence of the effectiveness of holding intention for others.
To immerse in prayer is an invitation to become present, connected with, and ultimately, to merge with God. It is to be reassured that while we live in a world that's often characterised by polarization and hatred, each one of us can truly play a part in not just changing ourselves, but in changing our world.
