Acerca de este título

John Anselm's a former Beirut hostage; a war correspondent who went to one war too many. A burnt-out case, he's working for a semi-legal Hamburg surveillance firm and trying to come to terms with his past. Then into his life comes Con Niemand, ex-mercenary and professional survivor. Niemand has stumbled across evidence of a terrible secret and now he's on the run.

Against his will, Anselm is plunged into a world of violence, betrayal and death. He must pit himself against forces he doesn't understand, forces determined to rebury a secret that can destroy reputations and lives across the globe.

Reseñas de la crítica

"Another triumph for this fine writer." (The Daily Telegraph)
"A truly international 21st century thriller . . . The characters are real, the action convincing and the writing style satisfyingly literate." (The Guardian)
"Sharp, smart . . . this will grip you from beginning to end." (Time Out)
"There can be few pleasures greater than discovering an author whose work is so consistently good that the anticipation of their next book is itself a joy . . . Polished gems of De Beers quality . . . In The Evil Day is a gritty realistic international conspiracy...the pace is insistent and driving from the outset and never lets up. Temple is an intelligent writer and cleverly spins out the suspense and his characterisation, while spare, is at the same time richly detailed in a way that only gifted writers manage. Many books are described as thrillers, few of them truly are. In The Evil Day is a rare exception." (Sunday Express)

Reseñas editoriales

In the Evil Day brings international intrigue into the 21st century. Peter Temple's world is one in which anonymous forces with seemingly endless resources attempt to silence anyone who they deem a threat. Enter John Anselm and Con Niemand, two combat-weary men who have come across a dangerous secret.… Nicholas Bell's performance of In the Evil Day is fast-paced, hair-raising, and pause-resisting. Bell nails the thrilling, danger-behind-every-corner tone of Temple's story of dark forces and even darker secrets.
