Dick Hill has performed hundreds of audiobooks and received multiple awards for his work, and within minutes of In the Time of the Angry Queen listeners will understand why. Hill performs this third-person story with a rich authority, and flourishes to an even greater degree in his commitment to the dialogue. Mark Frutkin’s classic In the Time of the Angry Queen is in good hands with Hill, and listeners will no doubt find themselves quickly falling into artist Karl Grunfeld’s world as he himself falls into the world of competitive chess.
