Captain Jack Aimes is an ordinary man living an ordinary life—or so he thinks. As a charter pilot, Jack makes his living transporting passengers and packages from one country to another, content with the hand-to-mouth existence he has chosen.
Then he meets Bluma, a beautiful waitress at a local café.
What begins as a chance encounter quickly plunges Jack into a world of car chases, mysterious gunmen, ancient mysticism, and a dangerous book known as The Prose Edda. When the book falls into Jack’s hands, he becomes the target of men willing to kill to possess it.
Now Jack must recover The Prose Edda, stay alive long enough to uncover the truth, and find Bluma, who has mysteriously disappeared.
Along the way, Jack will discover that his friends may not be who they seem, that ruthless men will stop at nothing to achieve their goals, and that the world itself may be vulnerable to the return of an ancient and terrifying magic.
