Just two years ago, the media turned Detective John Spader into a hero. He'd caught a twisted serial killer terrorizing Massachusetts, and the "Jack of Spades," as the media dubbed Spader, was born. But when the murderer walked free on a technicality - free to kill again - the public turned on Spader. Now a new serial killer is on the loose. He wears the silly, gap-toothed, grinning mask of Galaxo, Starboy Avenger! - a cartoon alien of unparalleled popularity with children. With Galaxo's body count rising, and the public's fear growing, it's up to the Jack of Spades to find the man beneath the mask and stop the killing.

Detective John Spader (nickname: Jack of Spades) has a reputation for catching serial murderers, a reputation that gets tested in this new thriller from James Hankins. This time, Spader is up against a strange new nemesis: a psychotic killer who dresses up as the children's cartoon alien Galaxo, Starboy Avenger! Award-winning voice actor Arthur Morey brings a remarkable range of voices to his performance, from the gritty, masculine tones of Spader, to the metallic, high-pitched, and bizarrely menacing voice of Galaxo. A tense listen that delivers a mix of chills and intrigue, Jack of Spades will compel fans of crime thrillers and comic book villains alike.
