P.G. Wodehouse's Jeeves crosses the Atlantic in this collection of eleven linked stories, from Mayfair to Beacon Hill. Bertie Winthrop—clubman, fox-trot enthusiast, and self-appointed good egg—wants nothing more than to enjoy the Christmas Eve wingding at the Somerset Club. Standing between him and the dance floor is his Aunt Angela of Groton House, a woman who plows her own snow, commands her own kennel club, and has decided that Bertie will find his reclusive cousin Bingo a wife by Christmas Day.
What follows is a campaign spanning two continents: Labrador ambushes on Charles Street, a Parisian engagement to a widow of alarming seniority, a fraudulent landscape painter undone by a bulldog's nose, and a state dinner at Windsor Castle that tests even Jeeves's celebrated tact.
Warm, absurd, and impeccably valeted, Jeeves at Groton House is an affectionate story—and proof that behind every innocent blighter stands an aunt, pushing him gently over the cliff.
