Join brave Kat Wolfe and her animal sidekicks in this second mysterious adventure filled with friendship, freedom, and a fierce wild cat!
When a landslide on the Jurassic Coast reveals a rare ‘dragon’ dinosaur, best friends Kat Wolfe and Harper Lamb are thrilled, especially when stars and scientists come flocking to sleepy Bluebell Bay.
But after they begin investigating a suspicious death, events spiral quickly out of control for detectives Wolfe and Lamb. Worse still, Kat’s wild cat is in trouble. Can they solve the mystery—and save the cat’s life—before it’s too late?

“Readers will devour this newest work and will eagerly await the next animal mystery that challenges these modern-day Nancy Drews.”
(Booklist)“St. John’s prose is splendid, and her extensive knowledge of animals great and small is evident…A complex mystery with well-placed red herrings, important reminders about animal care and conservation, and appealing protagonists make this a recommended purchase.”
(School Library Journal)“Kid detectives find themselves mixed up in ten interconnected mysteries…that do intertwine, though it takes some extraordinary strokes of luck along with Kat’s commendable sleuthing skills…[in a] vigorously diverse England…Animal lovers transitioning from middle grade to YA will find a lot to enjoy here.”
