Learn to Meditate - Metta Bhavana contains two easy to follow guided meditations to help you develop and learn this powerful technique. The first session runs for 42 minutes whilst the second is a 20-minute quick version ideal to follow if you do not have time to practice the longer session. Both sessions begin with a body awareness section. This works to focus your mind onto your body, especially your heart centre.
You are then guided clearly through the five stages of this meditation practice. With regular practice, metta (loving kindness) can be developed and grown (bhavana) into a very strong emotion that has the potential to influence every aspect of your life and your interactions with others. Whilst cultivating loving kindness towards others, the positive nature of this practice has the potential to percolate through into your actions. The classes are devised and narrated by Rae Roberts. Rae is an internationally renowned meditation teacher who has practised, studied and taught various meditation techniques since 1980. Her easy to follow instructions are combined with subtle background soundscapes that set the mood perfect for the practise.
