To most people, it probably looks as if Laura has everything. Born in 1953 to wealthy Robert Hayden and his beautiful wife Lily, materially this is true. She lives in a Regency mansion, set in an attractive, good-sized country estate just outside of London. But behind the scenes it’s a very different story.
Entirely raised by a starchy nanny, she has no friends and when thrust into a private school, she struggles to make any. But upon reaching adulthood, her reserved personality doesn’t mean she has no suiters. But Laura has much to learn in both relationships and the complicated world of business. It is only when a friend introduces her to Christianity that she finally finds complete peace within herself.
