Introducing the Mapton on Sea series by Sam Maxfield, narrated by award-winning narrator and comedian, Alison Larkin. Heartwarming, hilarious, and original, this brilliant new comic series has a love story, a little mystery, and a lot of laughs. If you’re looking for a light, engaging story that will make you laugh and cry, this one’s for you!
Stella loves her life in London, being far from the foul-mouthed, flame-haired grandmother who raised her. Then, she gets the dreaded call in the middle of the night, and finds herself living with Gina in the crazy coastal town of Mapton on Sea.
Whether it’s misbehaving dogs or gangs of pensioners racing mobility scooters along the promenade, as the June temperature soars, love shows up, and a mystery is revealed. Gina, Stella, and the residents of Mapton are in for a hilariously explosive summer.
Long-listed for the Women’s Fiction Prize. Exclusively for Audible, this audiobook includes a sample from the next book in the series, Mapton Strikes Back.
