The inspiration for this story comes from my own experiences and observations, as well as the countless stories of families navigating the delicate balance between cultural customs and modern life. Growing up in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, I was surrounded by tales of love, sacrifice, and the enduring strength of family bonds. These stories, passed down through generations, have shaped my understanding of the human spirit's resilience and the power of love to overcome even the most daunting challenges.

In crafting "Marriage at Night," I sought to honour the cultural richness of Congo while creating a narrative that resonates with listeners worldwide. The characters' journeys reflect real-life struggles and triumphs, emphasizing that despite differences in background and tradition, the core human experiences of love, loss, and hope are universal.
