As the term “mindfulness” becomes more popular in modern culture, I think it has become more generalized. What I mean by that is when people hear the word mindfulness, they think that it's just a word in order to describe a state in which one is at peace and can find tranquility in the present moment. Although that is partially true, it doesn't describe the entire picture when talking about the subject of mindfulness. There is so much more than mindfulness that people don't realize, and it's because of this lack of understanding that people don't put much value on the practice of mindfulness. More or less, mindfulness is just a word and words can only partially tell the story. Basically words can only point to something, so they can't actually tell you the whole truth.
