When what you’ve needed most was there all along …
Bearing the name of a legendary Irish warrior who risked it all for love is not much good to you when the prospect of it freezes the blood in your veins.
Add to that, Naoise’s crush, and best friend, Declan, is the facsimile of her heroic namesake, and has just confessed to having feelings for her.
But Naoise’s had a tough few years. Things with her own boyfriend aren’t all they seem on the outside. Her boss, a hot-headed Italian café owner, enjoys making her life a misery. And she is trying to keep her head above water in this, her last year as a student in University College Dublin, before she is a qualified secondary school teacher.
Will Naoise summon the legend’s strength to shed the parts of her life that keep her small, so she can take on the glorious new chapter that awaits her, reuniting with her best friend at her first teaching post in the idyllic coastal village where she spent her childhood holidays?
Find out today!
A stand-alone novelette, My Own Naoise can also be listened to as the prequel to Naoise’s First Year.
Content notes: one scene containing sexually coercive language, subsequent vague allusions to historical abusive relationship.
