My Sister, the Serial Killer was a quick and interesting read. It’s dark, unsettling and, at times, surprisingly funny, which gave the story a very distinctive tone.

I particularly enjoyed the complicated relationship between Korede and Ayoola. The contrast between the two sisters kept me interested, especially as Korede constantly finds herself protecting Ayoola and dealing with the consequences of her actions.

The story is fast-paced and easy to listen to, while doing other things around the house, and I liked the way it explores themes of family, loyalty, jealousy and how far we are willing to go for the people we love.

That said, I think I was expecting a little more from the story. The premise is definitely intriguing, but I didn't connect with it quite as much as I hoped I would, and some aspects felt a little underdeveloped for me.

Overall, it was an entertaining and unusual read, with a memorable premise and a fascinating relationship at its centre.

Inconclusive stories are not my liking and this review does not reflect the quality of the book, but the way it made me feel. I didnt like it. I love the background, it is refreshing to hear a story in a different setting, the characters around and the setting are great. the story is the problem for me. It is serious in an unserious way and a no no for me.
