Alice is a detective with a bizarre ability. She can take out criminals with her powerful static shocks.
Sounds like an impressive weapon? It should be, but she’s been banned from using this power by her bullying chief inspector.
Working with her partner, Max Greenstick, Alice investigates a spate of kidnappings and finds herself in a dramatic situation. With thugs closing in and an officer down, she uses her static to gain an advantage and is inevitably suspended from duty.
Alice’s only option is to continue investigating undercover. She throws herself into the hands of a company that is planning to change human genetics forever and faces deadly consequences if discovered.
Alice meets a host of outlandish characters while trying to crack the case. She negotiates the sewers, joins a carnival, finds herself potentially homeless, and has a combustible run in with a couple of old flames.
Is Bret actually the sleazy nightclub owner that she thought he was?
Is her ex, Adam Carter, truely out of her life forever?
Read on for a great fun blast of comedy, romance, action, and adventure.
