Reseñas editoriales

"Of Mist, and Grass, and Sand" constitutes the first chapter of Vonda N. McIntyre's out-of-print science fiction classic and Hugo Award-winning novel Dreamsnake (1978). The story introduces the novel's heroine, a gifted female healer named Snake, whose medicine is aided by genetically engineered serpents. McIntyre is known for her strong female leads, especially because she wrote during a time when sci-fi was dominated by male authors. Only two Hugo Award-winning books before Dreamsnake had featured female protagonists. Performer Dina Pearlman honors the legacy of the story with her proud, strong, and commanding delivery that easily convinces a reader that Snake can surmount any obstacle in her path.
