Adam and Callie live in a world recovering from devastating plagues that have killed billions. In their rigid society, everyone must be ranked as Leet, Mid or Sub. As High Leets, they enjoy all the privileges that this superior rank can offer. But something is terribly wrong. A scandal is breaking that implicates their famous father, Professor Richard Stillman, in an unthinkable crime: the fabrication of human beings, the Frankenstein monsters of the 21st century. Now Adam and Callie are beginning to wonder about their long-dead brother, David. Was he a victim of the Mardi virus, or was he a failed experiment in the quest for genetic perfection?©1998 Claire Carmichael (P)2000 Bolinda Publishing Ciencia ficción y fantasía Fantasía

Reseñas de la crítica

"Native Australian actor Francis Greenslade is an excellent narrator; he changes tone, speech and speed to differentiate sexes and emotions but is careful not to overdramatize. His enunciation is clear and his accent is easily understood. Teen slang flows easily. Heavier moments in the book do not drag as Greenslade is careful to keep the pace lively. An entertaining diversion which fans of science fiction will not want to end." (School Library Journal)
