Tressa McVey has just finished four years of business college and is returning to Wyoming, hoping to save her uncle's ranch by opening a dude ranch. It's always been her dream to create the parade float to represent the ranch in Cheyenne's Frontier Days Grand Parade, and this year, she's going to get her chance.

Bronco Travis and his six-year-old son have been living in the small cabin on the property and Bronco has been working at the Cattle Baron Ranch for a year, teaching horse shoeing classes and helping out with the other chores. Recently, having inherited some money, he's offered to buy the Cattle Baron and try to revive the ranch. Before Tressa returned, he almost had her uncle convinced to sell it to him.

When Tressa comes home, full of plans to open the dude ranch, Bronco offers to help her, putting off his own dreams for the time, but his son isn't so happy, knowing he may have to leave the ranch soon.

As Tressa and Bronco build the Cattle Baron Ranch's float together, they begin to develop a strong bond, but will Bronco's desire to own his own ranch pull him away from Tressa before she and God can convince him to stay at the Cattle Baron forever?
