Twenty-five-year-old Parker Newhart moves to Belfast Maine to work for The Belfast Bizarre, a local community news website. Parker's harsh boss, Beverly, gives her new hire the most challenging assignment ever, according to Parker's coworkers Owen and Akaysha. She is tasked to interview the rich, reclusive author, Merrick Scott. Grateful people call him and his family the town's benefactors. Scornful people called Merrick the "Were of Belfast."
Merrick and he reluctantly agrees to the interview, and his assistant and driver Chad comes with a car to take Parker to his residence in a wood by water. Upon meeting him, she soon discovers he is far more than what meets the eye. Parker's quest for the real truth about Merrick Scott will unexpectedly change both of their lives forever.
